Colleges and universities will look at ACT scores in considering students for admissions as well as possible scholarship opportunities.
In Mississippi, all Junior students are administered the American College Test (ACT) in the spring. The 2017 test will be given February 28 during the regular school day. The test is designed to test student skill levels in English, math, reading and science reasoning. The composite test score will range from 1-36 and the average scores fall between 17-23. Students can also register to take the test in addition to the test administered at FCAHS during student’s Junior year. Further information about the test and registration is available on the ACT website*.
