Boys State

Boys State welcomes civic-minded junior young men who have shown ability in leadership and academics. Boys State presents opportunities to young men who will soon be leaders in government operations.

The 2017 Annual De Soto Ranger District Cleanup will kick off during the month of March. Please come help us clean up the Forest!  Volunteers and groups are needed to clean up dumpsites in the forest and trash left behind on trails, roadsides and creeks.  We are asking you to get together with your family, friends or club and plan a date to help clean your favorite place on the De Soto.  The Cleanup will kick off in March, but continue throughout the year.  Let’s “lend a hand and care for the land” and return the scenic beauty back to our forest by removing unsightly dump sites and trash.  Forest maps and information on areas to work and canoe rental are available to help with planning.  Click HERE for more info.  Click HERE for an application.  Applications are also in the Counseling Center.
