ACT

Colleges and universities use ACT scores in considering students for admissions as well as scholarships.

In Mississippi, all junior students are administered the American College Test (ACT) for FREE in the spring. The test is designed to test student skill levels in English, math, reading and science reasoning. The composite test score ranges from 1-36. Average scores fall between 17-23. Students can also register for and are encouraged to take additional ACT exams administered throughout the school year. Further information about the test and registration is available on the ACT website*.
