FCAHS Star Student and Star Teacher

Byron Goff, a senior at Forrest County Agricultural High School, has been named a STAR student for 2017-18. The Mississippi Economic Council M.B. Swayze Foundation, sponsor of the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition program, recognizes outstanding high school seniors as STAR students. STAR students are seniors with the highest ACT scores and scholastic averages in their high schools.

Goff will be honored during the annual Education Celebration April 12 at the Jackson Convention Complex. Each STAR student is asked to designate a STAR teacher who has made the greatest contribution to his or her scholastic achievement. Goff designated George Pennell.
