FCAHS welcomed several distinguished guests to the school's first annual Black History Month program on February 23. Hattiesburg mayor Johnny Dupree, Brian Street, JoAnn Brown (the first African-American teacher hired at FCAHS), and Brian Leggett (the first African-American student to be elected FCAHS Student Body President) spoke to the Junior and Senior classes. The Aggapellas, the Select Women's Choir, and FCAHS Combined Choirs entertained the crowd with their vocal talents.
