FCAHS Select Choir Best in State

From the Impact:

Choral Activities at Forrest County Agricultural High School recently spent a Saturday on the road in competition. On November 9th, six groups from the high school, under the direction of Andrew T. Smigielski, competed in the Riverland Choral Festival at Pearl High School. There were upwards of 50 choirs and ensembles at the event.

Concert Choir earned a Superior rating. Fresh off of their successful performance for the Louisiana Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, the Select Chorus from Forrest County Agricultural High School brought home three Superior ratings, three Best in Class Honors, and Grand Champion of the Choir Division. This is the fourth time that this group has earned a Best in Class honor, but is its first Championship.
